Workshop Details

If you are responsible for a government website, it’s important to understand how your site collects, tracks, and shares personal information. Under Utah’s Government Data Privacy Act (GDPA), public websites must now clearly explain these practices to visitors. This free workshop will focus on privacy notices and how to scan your website to identify and disclose tools like cookies or other tracking software.

By attending, you’ll learn how to:

• Write a clear website policy and privacy notice that explains what personal data your site collects
• Scan your website for tracking tools (like cookies) and include them in your notice

We’ll walk through each step, share real examples, and answer your questions.

Privacy Notice 

The personal data that you provide, or that is collected, when you participate in a workshop, is classified as a public record pursuant to Utah Code § 63G-2-301, of the Government Records Access and Management Act(GRAMA), and may be available to the public as provided by Utah Code §63G-2-201.
