Workshop Details

This virtual workshop covers two key privacy practices: PrivacyNotices given when collecting personal data and Website Privacy Notice& Website Privacy Policy. We’ll explain when each notice is requiredunder the GDPA and GRAMA, what information must be included, and how thesenotices support transparency and public trust.

Participants will also receive instructions on a freewebsite privacy assessment offered by the Utah Office of Data Privacy.You’ll learn how to use scanning and reporting tools to identify websitetracking technologies, such as cookies and tracking tags, and align yourwebsite privacy notice with actual data collection practices. Real examples andQ&A are included.

By attending, you’ll learn how to:

  • Identify which privacy notices are required forwebsites and data collection activities
  • Use free website scanning tools to assesstracking technologies and support compliance
  • Apply notice requirements consistently acrosswebsites and forms

The personal data you provide, or is collected, when you participate in a workshop, is classified as a public record pursuant to Utah Code § 63G-2-301, of the Government Records Access and Management Act (GRAMA), and may be available to the public as provided by Utah Code § 63G-2-201.
