Bio
Reese BoardmanĀ serves at the Utah Office of Data Privacy, where he supports the state’s efforts to strengthen data governance and protect Utahns’ personal information. He is concurrently a Student Director and researcher at the Gary R. Herbert Institute for Public Policy and a senior in political science at Utah Valley University. His research focuses on data governance, critical minerals, and other state focused policy. He has authored published work on Utah’s data governance framework, state-endorsed digital identity, and critical minerals. His prior experience includes work within the Utah House of Representatives and the Office of Legislative Research and General Counsel, which gives him practical grounding in how public policy moves from concept to law.
