Bio
Sheriff Ryan Arbon has served in law enforcement since 1997, beginning his career with the Weber County Sheriff’s Office before serving as a Marshal for the State of Missouri. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and later served with the Clearfield City Police Department, rising through multiple leadership and supervisory positions before becoming Chief of the Perry City Police Department in 2016.
Sheriff Arbon was elected Weber County Sheriff in 2018 and has served in that role since 2019. His nearly three decades of experience in law enforcement leadership, criminal investigations, public safety, and the responsible management of sensitive information provide him with extensive knowledge of the privacy, data governance, and public safety issues considered by the Utah Privacy Commission.
